Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do. (2 Nephi 32:3)

Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark. (verse 4)
Nephi, speaking as an angel (special witness), gave the people of his day great wisdom and profound teachings, but they were not searching for it. They did not want doctrine and knowledge that would give them happiness and freedom.
Nephi had the answers to life’s mysteries. He knew what was good for the people because God inspired and taught him. So how did the Lord and Nephi respond to the people saying ‘NO’ to the message and the offer of happiness and joy?
And now I, Nephi, cannot say more; the Spirit stoppeth mine utterance, and I am left to mourn because of the unbelief, and the wickedness, and the ignorance, and the stiffneckedness of men; for they will not search knowledge, nor understand great knowledge, when it is given unto them in plainness, even as plain as word can be. (verse 7)
The Lord will not force doctrine, truth, or saving ordinances and knowledge upon anybody. He will not even allow His servants to force-feed His children. Consider the charge found in Matthew 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
How many a parent, a leader, or a friend has given unsolicited advice that, if heeded, would remove the pain, misery, or eventual consequences of a loved one? Only to have that advice shunned, trampled on, ignored, or even rebuked?
The Lord set the example for the sacredness of angelic wisdom and power, it must be requested before served. It can be offered, but when refused, the answer no must be accepted. Salvation cannot be force-fed.
There are many opportunities for us in this life time to be those very angels on the Lord’s mission and to be about our Father’s business. It is my eternal prayer that I can be an intrument in the hand of the Lord and serve Him in some capacity. If I look for these opportunites then I am blessed with them daily. It is everything that I hoped and prayed it would be. Now I can strive for the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost and then maybe, just maybe I can be an effective tool in the Lord’s skilled and prescious hand.
The most effective tool in the Lord’s hand is one that offers blessings to identify the level of receptivity. Once the offer is accepted, the Angel (tool) will create an space where teaching, learning, listening, and neutrality can exist. This space is most productive and gives the receiving the highest probability of success and growth.
Your loving spirit and willingness to share is a blessing to those who choose to accept you as an Angel (tool) for our Father.
